I was thrilled to find a Metro posters for an art exposition all based on art from Portland. These were all over the major Metro stations in Paris.
We were reunited with Starbucks. It was listed as one of the top 100 attractions in Munich. This was int he train station, and we ended up spending a ton of time there due to some mix-ups.
Munich boasted a large Michael Jackson monument in the middle of a park.
This gothic building was very cool.
A real maypole!
It snowed. In APRIL. During my SPRING BREAK. I refused to get out of bed until the afternoon.
Beer from Hofbrauhaus. I had a headache the night we ate there so I didn't end up getting a huge beer, but there were plenty of them to photograph.
My first meal in Florence! We loved that restaurant so much that we went there four times in four days. The last night the waiter who always served us started laughing. I like to think he's missing us.
Florence was beautiful and refreshingly colorful.
I guess this bridge is really famous...my friends were flipping out a bit about seeing it. It was gorgeous on the outside, and was lined on the inside with expensive stores and touristy souvenir stands.
Pinnochio stuff was everywhere. Did that story come from Florence?
A really pretty monument in downtown Florence.
We got caught in a spectacular thunderstorm and had to hide out in a café for nearly two hours. This is the hoard of tourists who were either trying to get somewhere dry or determined to stay out despite the weather.
Tagiatelle with mushrooms in truffle cream.
I don't personally partake in the eating of gelato, but it was really beautiful.
We stopped in Pisa to catch a train, and ended up risking missing it just to see the leaning tower. We made it on time, so it all worked out.
